Platynota semiustana, commonly known as the singed platynota, is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. This species is native to North America, and confirmed records of it exist from the US states of Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. Adults of Platynota semiustana have a wingspan ranging from 13 to 17 mm. Their forewings are a sooty black color, marked with a paler terminal line.
