Platylobium montanum I.Thomps. is a shrub species endemic to Australia. It belongs to the family Fabaceae and the genus Platylobium. This species was first formally described in 2011. Two subspecies are currently recognised: Platylobium montanum I.Thomps. subsp. montanum, with type locality at Wabonga Plateau, and Platylobium montanum subsp. prostratum I.Thomps., with type locality at Kinglake National Park.
