About Platanthera tipuloides (L.f.) Lindl.

Platanthera tipuloides plants grow 20–40 cm tall. They have one or two lance-shaped leaves at the base. Up to 20 yellow flowers grow arranged in a spike on these plants, and their flowering period runs from May to July. Platanthera tipuloides is primarily distributed in northern Asia, and in North America, it only occurs on the Aleutian Islands. The species grows at elevations between 700 and 1700 m, and prefers forested slopes or forest margins along valleys.
