About Platanthera hyperborea (L.) Lindl.

Platanthera hyperborea (L.) Lindl., commonly known as the northern green orchid, is a small orchid species. It is found exclusively in Greenland, Iceland, and Akimiski Island, Canada. While many authors have described this species as widespread across other parts of Canada and the United States, those non-Greenland, non-Iceland, non-Akimiski Island populations are more correctly classified as Platanthera aquilonis.
