Pirithoicus ophthalmicus, commonly known as the little clown grasshopper, is a species of grasshopper belonging to the family Romaleidae. It is native to southern India. It is the only recognized species in the genus Pirithoicus, because another taxon originally named Pirithous ramachendrai has been synonymized under this species.
