About Pinus maximinoi H.E.Moore
Pinus maximinoi, commonly called thinleaf pine, is a conifer species belonging to the Pinaceae family. It occurs naturally in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico, where it grows at elevations between 1,500 and 2,400 meters (4,900 to 7,900 feet). Mature individuals of this species reach a height of 15 to 30 meters (49 to 98 feet), and young trees have smooth bark.
