About Pindara illibata (Fabricius, 1775)

Pindara illibata is a pale rufous moth with a wingspan of approximately 72 millimeters. Its forewings bear short sub-basal and oblique antemedial medial dark lines on pale reddish bands. The large reniform spot has a dark line within it. Three indistinct waved postmedial lines occur on pale reddish suffusion, and one submarginal line is present. A large semi-circular patch with white edges is located at the forewing apex. The abdomen and hindwings are fuscous brown; the hindwings have an indistinct pale medial line, and their margin is greyish except at the apex. The larvae of Pindara illibata feed on species of the genera Bischofia and Elaeocarpus.
