Pilosocereus armatus (Otto ex Pfeiff.) A.R.Franck is a species of cactus. It has bluish green stems that feature 7 to 11 ribs, and its branches are typically upright. The areoles of this species bear spines that can reach up to 6 cm (2.4 in) in length, along with silky hairs that grow up to 4 cm (1.6 in) long; non-flowering areoles produce fewer hairs than other areoles. The flowers of Pilosocereus armatus measure 5–7 cm (2.0–2.8 in) in length, with pinkish inner perianth segments and pinkish to pale green outer perianth segments. This cactus produces red fruit. Pilosocereus armatus is native to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
