About Physostegia godfreyi P.D.Cantino

Physostegia godfreyi, commonly known as the Appalachicola dragonhead or Godfrey's false dragonhead, is a flowering plant in the mint family (Lamiaceae). It is a short-lived perennial that grows up to 1.5 feet tall, and produces lavender purple flowers with darker veins, as well as nutlet fruits. This species is endemic to the southern Florida panhandle, ranging from Walton County to Wakulla County, where it grows in open wet savannas.
