About Phyllobius arborator (Herbst, 1797)
Phyllobius arborator (Herbst, 1797) is a species of broad-nosed weevils that belongs to the family Curculionidae, subfamily Entiminae. This beetle can be found across most of Europe. Soil-dwelling larvae of this species feed on the roots of their host plants, while adult beetles feed on the leaves of deciduous trees and shrubs. Fully grown adults reach a length of approximately 10 millimetres (0.39 inches). Adults can be found from April through August, and their bodies have a distinctive metallic blue-green colour.
