Philopedon plagiatum, which is sometimes classified under the alternative scientific name Philopedon plagiatus and commonly called the marram weevil, is a species of broad-nosed weevil that belongs to the beetle family Curculionidae. This species is native to Western Europe, and its native distribution covers Portugal, Spain, France, Ireland, Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Greece, Switzerland and Italy. It has been intentionally or accidentally introduced to North America, where it was first recorded in 1940. Today, the species is stably established in Canada's Maritime Region and the northeastern United States.
