Pheidole xerophila Wheeler, 1908 is a species of ant that belongs to the higher myrmicine group within the family Formicidae. As with many other species in the genus Pheidole, this ant is dimorphic. Colonies of Pheidole xerophila contain two castes of workers: smaller "minor" workers and much larger "major" workers.
