About Phaeotrametes decipiens (Berk.) J.E.Wright
Phaeotrametes decipiens produces brownish, fan-shaped fruit bodies. It has a trimitic hyphal system, which contains generative, skeletal, and binding hyphae. Its spores are large, truncate, thick-walled, and inamyloid, meaning they do not react to Melzer's reagent. A defining characteristic of the Phaeotrametes genus is that chlamydosporic fruit bodies grow alongside normal fruit bodies.
