About Phacelia pringlei A.Gray

Phacelia pringlei A.Gray, commonly known as Pringle's phacelia, is a species of flowering plant in the Hydrophyllaceae family. This plant is endemic to far northern California, and has only been recorded growing in the southern Klamath Mountains. Its native habitat includes coniferous forest and open mountain slopes. It is an annual herb that grows a mostly unbranched, erect stem reaching up to 18 centimeters in height. Its leaves are linear or lance-shaped, and grow up to 3 centimeters long. The plant's inflorescence is hairy and glandular, taking the form of a cyme of five-lobed lavender flowers. Each individual flower is no longer than half a centimeter.
