About Phacelia malvifolia Cham. & Schltdl.

Phacelia malvifolia is an annual herb that grows mostly erect, reaching a maximum height of around one meter. The entire plant is covered in stiff, yellowish glandular hairs with bulbous bases, which cause a stinging sensation when touched. Its rough-haired leaves can grow up to 14 centimeters long; the blades of longer leaves are usually divided into three lobed leaflets. The inflorescence, which ranges from hairy to bristly, is a one-sided curving or coiling cyme made up of bell-shaped flowers. Each flower is roughly half a centimeter long and whitish in color.
