Most of its leaves grow low on the branching stem, and are deeply lobed or divided into separate leaflets. Its hairy inflorescence is a one-sided, curving or coiling cyme that holds several bell-shaped flowers. Individual flowers may be over one centimeter long, and are colored pale purple or bluish.
