About Phacelia davidsonii A.Gray

Phacelia davidsonii is a plant that is often very similar in appearance to Phacelia curvipes, and was once classified as a variety of that species. It is an annual herb that produces a branching or unbranched stem, which can grow decumbent or erect, reaching a maximum length of roughly 20 centimeters. Its leaves are oval or lance-shaped and grow up to 7 centimeters long; the lower leaves are divided into leaflets, while the upper leaves are smaller and lobed. The hairy inflorescence is a showy, curving cluster of bell-shaped flowers, each flower up to 1.5 centimeters long. The flowers have a white throat and deep purple lobes.
