Petelia medardaria is a moth species in the family Geometridae, first formally described by Gottlieb August Wilhelm Herrich-Schäffer in 1856. It can be found across the Indian subregion, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Borneo, Queensland, and the Bismarck Islands. This is a small straw-coloured moth with a wingspan reaching 3 centimetres. It has dark spots located near its wingtips, a dark line on each wing, or both of these markings. A distinct strong discal spot is present on the underside of its hindwing. Known host plants for the caterpillars of this species include Gouania leptostachya, Ziziphus incurva, Ziziphus jujuba, Ziziphus mauritiana, Ziziphus oenoplia, Ziziphus rugosa, and Hovenia dulcis.
