About Pentispa melanura (Chapuis, 1877)
The scientific name of this species is Pentispa melanura (Chapuis, 1877). Its vertex is trisulcate, and the interocular space is moderately produced. The clypeus is transverse, produced, and shaped like a half-moon. The antennae are black and robust. The thorax is transverse; its sides converge from the base to the apex, and are distinctly angled. The entire upper surface is covered in coarse punctures. The elytra have parallel sides and rounded apexes, with fine serrations that are more pronounced along the apical margin. Each elytron has eight rows of punctures, with an extra ninth row at its extreme base. The second, fourth, and sixth interspaces, along with the suture, are costate.
