Pentas lanceolata (Forssk.) Deflers, commonly called Egyptian starcluster, is a species of flowering plant that belongs to the madder plant family, Rubiaceae. It is native to tropical Africa, ranging from Sudan to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Mozambique; it is also native to the Arabian Peninsula, where it occurs in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. This species is sometimes planted in butterfly gardens.
