Pelochrista similiana (Clemens, 1860), previously referred to as Eucosma similiana, is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. This species is native to North America, with confirmed records from the north-eastern United States and south-eastern Canada. Its typical habitat includes open fields and waste areas. For male individuals, the forewing length ranges from 8.1 to 11 millimeters, while for female individuals, the forewing length ranges from 8.2 to 10.3 millimeters. Adult moths are active and can be seen in flight between July and September each year. The larvae of this moth feed on plants of the Solidago genus, and they feed specifically within the rootstalks of their host plants.
