About Pellaea breweri D.C.Eaton

Pellaea breweri grows from a branching reddish-brown rhizome that is covered in hairlike scales. Each individual leaf can reach a maximum length of 20 to 25 centimeters. The leaf is structured around a shiny brown rachis, which bears widely spaced leaflets. These thick, pale green leaflets have variable shapes, including lance-shaped, diamond, triangular, or spade-shaped. Some leaflets are deeply divided into lobes, or even split into two smaller leaflets. The edges of every leaf segment are rolled under, and the plant's sporangia are located beneath these rolled edges.
