Pedicularis racemosa Douglas ex Hook. is a species of flowering plant in the Orobanchaceae family, with the common names sickletop lousewort and leafy lousewort. It is native to western North America, where it grows in coniferous forests. This perennial herb produces several stems that can reach up to 80 centimetres (31 inches) tall, and stems range in color from greenish to dark red. Its leaves grow up to 10 centimetres (4 inches) long, are linear in shape, and have toothed edges. The inflorescence is a small raceme of flowers that grows at the top of the stem. Individual flowers range in color from white to light purple or yellow, grow up to 1.6 centimetres (2⁄3 inch) long, and are divided into a curved or coiled beak-like upper lip, plus a wide three-lobed lower lip. The fruit is a capsule over one centimetre in length that holds smooth seeds.
