About Pavetta hongkongensis Bremek.
Pavetta is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Rubiaceae. This genus contains around 360 species, which take the form of trees, evergreen shrubs, and sub-shrubs. Members of the genus grow naturally in woodlands, grasslands, and thickets across sub-tropical and tropical regions of Africa and Asia. These plants are cultivated for their simple leaves, which vary in form. The leaves are typically arranged in opposite pairs, but can also grow in triple whorls. They are often membranous, with dark bacterial nodules. Pavetta produces small, white, tubular flowers, which are sometimes salverform or funnel-shaped, with 4 spreading petal lobes. The flowers are borne on terminal corymbs or cymes.
