About Paspalum laeve Michx.
Paspalum laeve Michx. (P. laeve) has leaf blades that reach about 20 centimeters, or roughly 8 inches, in length. Their width ranges from 1 to 10 millimeters, which equals 0.03 to 0.3 inches. Its spikelets are arranged in two rows, and measure 2.5 to 3 millimeters across. This species grows at forest edges and can thrive in disturbed areas. Documented specimens have been collected from a range of specific habitats, including coastal hammocks, wiregrass palmetto flatwoods, pond edges, low fields, and old pastures. It has an intermediate level of tolerance to both drought and shade.
