Parnara naso, commonly called the African straight or straight swift, is a skipper butterfly classified in the family Hesperiidae. The subspecies covered here is Parnara naso bada (Moore, 1878). This butterfly is found on the islands of Mauritius, Réunion, and Madagascar. Its natural habitats include forest margins and human-modified anthropogenic environments. The larvae of this butterfly feed on Oryza sativa (cultivated rice) and Saccharum officinarum (sugarcane).
