About Parasynthemis regina (Selys, 1874)

Parasynthemis regina is a species of dragonfly in the family Synthemistidae, and it is commonly known as the royal tigertail. This is a medium to large, slender dragonfly with a long body, marked with black and yellow patterns. It lives in stagnant pools and swamps located in eastern Australia. The species was originally described and named Synthemis regina in 1874 by Edmond de Sélys Longchamps.
