Parapoynx crisonalis is a moth species that belongs to the Crambidae family. It was first described by Francis Walker in 1859. This moth has a broad distribution, with confirmed records from India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia (including the island of Sulawesi), China, Taiwan, Japan, and Queensland, Australia. It has also been recorded in Great Britain after being accidentally imported alongside aquatic plants. The wingspan of adult Parapoynx crisonalis measures between 11 and 15 millimeters. The wings feature a pattern made up of different shades of brown and white. There is a distinct dark spot located near the center of the hindwings. The larvae of this species are aquatic, and they feed on a variety of pondweed species.
