About Papaver umbonatum Boiss.

Papaver umbonatum Boiss. is a species of flowering plant in the poppy family Papaveraceae. Its common names are bossed poppy and Semitic poppy. Because it looks very similar in growth form and overall appearance to Papaver rhoeas, the corn poppy that is common across Europe, it is often misidentified as that species. This plant is native to rocky plains found in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and the Palestinian Territories.
