Panthea coenobita (Esper, 1785) is a moth species belonging to the Noctuidae family. It can be found across Northern, Eastern, and Southern Europe; the central and northern European regions of Russia; Japan; Korea; northern China; the Russian Far East, including Primorye, Khabarovsk, the Amur region, Sakhalin, and the southern Kuriles; southern and western Siberia, including Transbaikalia, the Baikal area, and Altai; and Turkey. This moth has a wingspan that ranges from 40 to 50 mm. Depending on location, adult moths fly between May and July. Its larvae feed on pine, fir, and larch.
