About Panoquina ocola (Edwards, 1863)

Panoquina ocola (Edwards, 1863), commonly called the ocola skipper or long-winged skipper, is a butterfly species belonging to the family Hesperiidae. Its range extends from Paraguay north through tropical America and the West Indies to south Texas. Stray individuals can be found further north, reaching southeast Arizona, Kansas, Illinois, Michigan, southern Ontario, and New York. This species has a wingspan of 35–43 mm. The larvae of Panoquina ocola feed on Oryza sativa, Saccharum officinarum, and Hymenachne amplexicaulis.
