About Pandemis canadana Kearfott, 1905

Pandemis canadana, commonly known as the green aspen leaftier, is a species of moth belonging to the family Tortricidae. This species was first formally described by William D. Kearfott in 1905. It is native to North America, with confirmed records ranging from British Columbia to Nova Scotia in the northern part of the continent, and extending south to Colorado, Illinois and Maine. Its typical habitat includes deciduous forests and areas of deciduous shrubs. The adult moth has a wingspan of 19 to 20 millimeters. Adult moths are active in flight from early July through mid-August. The caterpillar larvae of this species feed on a wide variety of deciduous trees and shrubs.
