Palusophis bifossatus is a species of snake in the Colubridae family. This species is the only member of the monotypic genus Palusophis, and it has the common name Rio tropical racer. Its geographic range covers parts of central and central-eastern Brazil, as well as Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, and northern Uruguay.
