Pachypodium rutenbergianum Vatke is a species of the genus Pachypodium that is native to Madagascar. Mature individuals of this plant grow to between 3 and 8 meters in height, with a trunk that can reach up to 60 centimeters in diameter at its base. It produces short branches and spines that measure 1 centimeter in length. Its green leaves are 10 to 15 centimeters long and up to 4 centimeters wide, and it bears white flowers.
