About Pachylia syces Hübner
The upperside of the forewing of Pachylia syces Hübner has a pale median band that is usually separated into two patches. Occasionally, these patches connect to form a continuous transverse band, which is strongly constricted when formed. The upperside of the hindwing is almost uniformly colored, with darker coloration towards its distal end, no distinct bands, and a conspicuous white tip. This species is distributed from Mexico, through Belize and Honduras, extending to Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina. It is also found on Jamaica.
