About Ozomelis trifida (Graham) Rydb.
Ozomelis trifida (Graham) Rydb. is a flowering plant species belonging to the saxifrage family. It has two common names: threeparted miterwort and Pacific miterwort. This species is native to western North America, where its range extends from Alaska to Montana to California. It grows in a variety of wet, wooded habitat types. It is a rhizomatous perennial herb that reaches around 45 centimeters in maximum height. Its leaves grow around the base of the stem, each with a rounded blade up to 10 centimeters wide, lobed outlines, and round-toothed edges. The plant produces an erect inflorescence that holds up to 20 flowers, usually arranged along one side of the stem. Its flowers are distinctive, cup-shaped with five petals that are white or tinged with violet; most, but not all, of these petals are divided into three lance-shaped lobes.
