About Oxyodes scrobiculata (Fabricius, 1775)
This species has a wingspan of approximately 64 mm. Its body is ochreous brown or yellow ochreous. The forewing has indistinct, waved sub-basal, antemedial, medial, two post-medial, and a sub-marginal line. The orbicular and reniform spots have black edges, and are often filled with black. A lunulate mark is often present below the cell. The hindwing has a broad black fascia below the costa. Two post-medial lines and a series of indistinct sub-marginal lunules can be seen on the hindwing. The ventral side is brownish, irrorated (sprinkled) with grey. Both wings have an ochreous inner area and a speck at the end of the cell. A postmedial line and blackish blotches are found on the outer area of the ventral side. The larva is slender, and tapers slightly at each end. Its body is pale emerald green with fine pale yellow dorsolateral lines. The abdominal proleg pairs are slightly reduced toward the anterior of the body. The larvae feed on species in the genera Aglaia, and the species Dimocarpus longan, Litchi chinensis, and Nephelium lappaceum.
