About Osteospermum ilicifolium L.

Osteospermum ilicifolium, commonly called jolly boneseed, was previously known under the scientific name Nephrotheca ilicifolia. This flowering plant species is a member of the aster family, Asteraceae. It is endemic to the Cape Provinces of South Africa. It is the only species classified in section Nephrotheca of the genus Osteospermum, which falls within the Calendula tribe.
