Orthodes majuscula, commonly known as the rustic Quaker, is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This species was first formally described by Gottlieb August Wilhelm Herrich-Schäffer in 1868. It has a widespread distribution across the New World. Its range includes eastern North America, where it occurs from Nova Scotia south to Florida, west to Arizona, and north to Alberta, as well as Cuba, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Brazil. The wingspan of adult Orthodes majuscula measures 28 to 35 mm. Adults are active in flight from May through August each year. The species' larvae feed on a broad variety of plants, including dandelion, plantain, grasses, and willow.
