Orocrambus vulgaris is a species of moth that belongs to the family Crambidae. It was first described by Arthur Gardiner Butler in 1877. This species is endemic to New Zealand, and it has been recorded in both the North Island and South Island of the country. Orocrambus vulgaris primarily inhabits lowland and subalpine grasslands. The wingspan of adult individuals of this species ranges from 21 mm to 25 mm. Adult moths of this species have been observed in flight between the months of January and April.
