About Ornduffia reniformis (R.Br.) Tippery & Les

Ornduffia reniformis is an emergent aquatic perennial herb that grows up to 1.3 metres tall. It produces round to kidney-shaped (reniform), glossy green floating leaves that measure 3โ€“12 mm across. Its yellow flowers grow on erect panicles between October and March; individual flowers are 6.5โ€“12 mm long and 19โ€“43 mm in diameter. Seed capsules of this species are 6โ€“12 mm long, and fruiting occurs mainly between October and April. This species is found in parts of Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, and Tasmania. It grows in freshwater wetland habitats, including temporarily flooded depressions.
