About Oreonana clementis (M.E.Jones) Jeps.

Scientific name: Oreonana clementis (M.E.Jones) Jeps. This plant forms a tuft of gray, hairy leaves that measure about 1 inch (2.5 cm) long. All leaves grow directly from the root, with no aboveground leaf-bearing stems. From May to August, round clusters of whitish flowers develop on short stems. This species grows in dry, granitic gravel habitats, ranging between 5,500 and 13,000 feet (1,700 to 4,000 m) elevation in the Sierra Nevada.
