About Opuntia leucotricha DC.

Opuntia leucotricha DC. is a tree-like cactus that can grow up to 5 metres (16 ft) tall. Its flattened stem segments (platyclades) have a thin fuzz of white hairs on their joints. This species is endemic to Mexico, where it grows in mountain habitats across the states of San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, Guanajuato, and Querétaro. It is classified as an invasive species in Florida.
