About Omphalodes cappadocica (Willd.) DC.
Omphalodes cappadocica, commonly called the Cappadocian navelwort, is a flowering plant species in the family Boraginaceae that is native to woodland habitats in Turkey. This plant is an evergreen perennial that grows to 25 centimetres (10 inches) tall and 40 centimetres (16 inches) wide. It produces slightly hairy, oval pointed leaves and loose terminal racemes of bright blue flowers with white eyes, similar to forget-me-nots, that appear in spring. In cultivation, it is valued as groundcover for moist, shady locations, such as woodland plantings. Both the parent species and its cultivar 'Cherry Ingram' have received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
