About Olsynium junceum (E.Mey. ex C.Presl) Goldblatt
Olsynium junceum is a plant species belonging to the iris family. It is native to South America, specifically occurring in Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, and Chile. Three subspecies are recognized: Olsynium junceum subsp. colchaguense (Phil.) J.M.Watson & A.R.Flores, which is found in central Chile; Olsynium junceum subsp. depauperatum (Phil.) R.A.Rodr. & Martic, which is found in southern Chile; Olsynium junceum subsp. junceum, which is distributed across Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, and northern and central Chile.
