About Olios lamarcki (Latreille, 1806)
Olios lamarcki has measurable size differences between male and female individuals. On average, males have a carapace that is approximately 6.73 mm long and 6.77 mm wide, while females have a carapace that averages 8.82 mm long and 8.87 mm wide. Both sexes have distinct overall coloration patterns: males have visible brownish furrows along their carapace, while females do not have any distinct body pattern. Male chelicerae have two anterior teeth and four posterior teeth. By contrast, female chelicerae have two anterior teeth, with five posterior teeth on the right chelicera and four posterior teeth on the left chelicera. The relative length order of the species' legs follows the 2143 formula. Eye diameter and the distance between eyes differ only slightly between males and females. In total, this species can be identified by its unique combination of morphological traits and coloration patterns.
