Olearia lacunosa, whose scientific name is Olearia lacunosa Hook.fil., is commonly called the lancewood tree daisy. It is a shrub or small tree native to New Zealand, found growing in lowland to sub-alpine environments. Its range extends from the lower North Island of New Zealand southward, along primarily the west coast of the South Island. This species can reach a maximum height of 5 metres. It bears long, narrow leaves that are dark green on their upper surface, and brown on their underside.
