Oenothera longissima is a species of flowering plant in the evening primrose family, with the common name longstem evening primrose. It is native to the southwestern United States, and grows in relatively moist areas within scrub and woodland habitats. This plant is a biennial herb that grows a tall, erect stem that can reach well over 2 meters in height. Its leaves are widely lance-shaped, may grow up to 22 centimeters long, and can have slight teeth along their edges. It produces an inflorescence that forms a spike of large, showy flowers.
