Oenothera lavandulifolia Torr. & A.Gray, commonly known as lavender leaf sundrops, is a low-growing perennial plant that belongs to the evening primrose family. It is found in the Colorado Plateau and Canyonlands region of the southwestern United States, with its range extending as far north as South Dakota. This species grows in multiple plant communities, including blackbrush scrub, mixed desert shrub, pinyon juniper woodland, and ponderosa pine forest. In the southwest, it can be found at elevations up to 8,500 feet (2,600 m).
