Oenothera filipes, commonly known as slenderstalk beeblossom, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Oenothera. It is a perennial dicot. It is native to regions of the southeastern United States, as well as the states of Illinois and Indiana. This species was previously classified within the genus Gaura. Mature individuals of Oenothera filipes grow up to 1.5 meters, which equals approximately 4.9 feet, in height. The flowers of this species range in color from white to pink. Oenothera filipes has been documented growing in dry, well-drained sandy soils. It grows best in conditions of either full sun or partial shade.
